If you can not afford to go to a dentist or if you want to try a mouth guard to see if it can stop your snoring, you should try over the counter mouth guards. It is a very simple device that you put in your mouth before going to bed. It’s just like a sports mouth guard. The reason that you snore depends on the position of your jaw. When you use a mouth guard, it helps to get you to bite down on the guard and this controls the position of your jaw when you sleep. Clean your mouth guard by washing with soap and warm warter (not hot).
Before storing, soak it in mouthwash.
Keep it in a well-ventilated plastic storage box when not in use.
The heat is bad for mouthguards.
